Why Wales?
Romantic photoshoot at Rhossili Bay, Wales
If you know me, you know I'm not from here. I grew up in countryside in Poland. There is something about nature that always calls my heart. Before this photoshoot I have visited Wales multiple times and always was promising myself to come back. The beaches, hills, lakes...green fields made for amazing romantic background I thought. So I decided to conciously come back and take the most amazing photos of this beautiful couple, that happen to live in Wales.
Rhossili Bay Cliffs and Beach Photoshoot
There's something about this place that feels special to me. So far I have been there 2 times (intend on going 3rd time too!). The coast, the dramatic cliffs... We have planned this photoshoot with Hannah May way way long before it actually happened, and both of us are super busy, so it was that day or none!
It turned out to be the most rainy day in the month. That didn't stop us!
Vibe of the photoshoot we were going for was simply to have fun, candid most natural photos that would show their love. I like to think we did that perfectly? :D
We already knew it was too wet, too windy to have it the perfect way, but maybe THIS was the perfect way? To experience the day as it is - rain, wind, laughter... To just go with it! I don't remember laughing as much as I did that day. Although my wellies had water in them, my coat soaked through... It was all worth it!
Welsh weather is unpredictable. So is life.
Photoshoot or experience?
My mission is to help you make the best most beautiful memories of the day and strict posing or telling you what to do I dont believe is cutting it. Of course if someone is looking for direction and inspiration I will guide them to it, but firstly and most importantly it's your day! Whether is wedding day or couple photoshoot day. I want YOU to have fun, to hug each other, to run, have a laugh and just be yourselves! And that's how the most natural candid photos will come to fruition. So yes it is a couple exeprience day! :D
Planning on visiting Rhossili Bay?
What I would say first and foremost - take your umbrella! It's good to have it. But if it wil work - that's another thing - as it might get too windy.
Parking on top of the cliffs is not free - it's £4 for up to 2 hours and £8 for over 2 hours. Generally out of the season car park is very quiet (we went in April and car park was EMPTY - probably because of the weather. However in the summer when I went to do a photoshoot in sunflower fields, car park was absolutely full! They had to use extra field as an extention. That was in August and sun was shining and it was generally better weather conditions.
I am generally very happy that we visited Rhossili Bay in Wales on day like that. It was deserted. And I'm telling you - we've had beach and cliffs just for ourselves. It felt very special. One for the books!
Is it worth visiting?
ABSO - FREAKIN - LUTELY!
Made the most beautiful memories. Had such a wholesome day out. Just look! <3
